Personal Experience & Biography

To me, the best thing about seeing a therapist is that you are guaranteed a caring listener who is going to accept you without judgement. Many people lack this kind of support in their life. Every time I sit down with a new client and am granted the privilege of hearing their story, I feel honored. I know it can be scary and difficult to open up to someone and I appreciate that I am being invited into the lives of my clients. My goal is to be an advocate, a sounding board and a cheerleader for every person that I see. I have worked with a range of clients, utilizing evidence based practices. I have extensive experience working with depression, anxiety, adolescent challenges, trauma informed therapy and social skills training. I also specialize in short-term therapy helping college students and professionals in “layover” periods as they prepare to move into new phases.

My goal when working with any client is to equip the client with the skills to successfully navigate his or her own life in a healthy and rewarding way. I am an eclectic therapist. I draw from many theoretical orientations to create a therapeutic experience that is as unique as the individuals I encounter.
