Each therapist has their own hours which may include sessions after 6 pm & Saturday availability.
2. How does setting up an appointment work?
Our therapists offer a free 15 minute consultation to ensure that they are the right fit for your personal needs. It is not required to have a 15 minute consultation before a session but it is highly recommended. During the consultation, you will discuss your availability. Your therapist will schedule you for an intake session or have the admin reach out to you to schedule. Payment is due at the time of scheduling the intake or by the morning of the intake session.
3. What is an intake session?
The intake session is your first meeting with your therapist. During the intake session the therapist will review your completed intake form and ask more questions to get a better idea of your background and concerns. You will also discuss your goals for therapy and decide on a session schedule. Your sessions may be weekly, biweekly or monthly.
Financial Questions
1. How is the sliding scale rate calculated?
You sliding scale rate will be determined based on your household income. Confirmation of your income may come from pay stubs, bank statements or tax returns depending on your employment status.
2. How do I receive a sliding scale rate?
When you contact us please mention that you would like to be on the sliding scale so that we may determine availability before scheduling. Our therapists have a maximum number of sliding scale clients and it is not guaranteed that you will be able to be placed. However, our interns are ALWAYS accepting sliding scale clients with rates ranging from $50-100 per session. That’s a $75-125 rate reduction compared to local rates.
3. What if I don't want to be included in the sliding scale?
All clients who are not on the sliding scale will pay the full rate for their sessions or use insurance. Not all of our clinicians accept insurance. You may read each therapist’s bio to see which insurances they accept. Your rate may be different depending on which therapist you are working with. At the time the maximum full rate is $175 per session for individuals. Our rates vary for couples, family and group therapy.
4. What are your payment options?
If you are using insurance, we will bill directly to your insurance. If you are a private pay client, we accept credit, debit cards and cash. We will also provide a superbill for Out of Network provider services if requested. This will allow you to be reimbursed by your insurance company, if they offer it.
